A compliment of colour and composition. Poswa expresses her freedom through a melting pot of gestural brushstrokes, layering and pattern work. Abstract is a symphony of smudges, scratches, splashes and drip glazes.
HANDPINCHED
Like a pianist that sorts to unleash magical creativity through her fingers, Zizipho Poswa has created a beautiful, eclectic mix of hand pinched collection ceramic bowls and decadent sets.
These pieces leave a lasting impression as the finger prints are permanently embossed creating a design features of their own. These pieces are delicate, a delight to the eye and tastefully adorned with a pattern inspired by the richness of South African flora.
SCARIFIED
Symbolically imbued with and Inspired by an ancient African tradition of body scarification. A practice used to protect an individual against various negative spiritual and physical manifestations.
VIEWS FROM THE STUDIO
Dyalvane’s literal and metaphorical interpretation of the less popular view of the Cape Town city skyline. Inspired by the daily view of the harbour and surrounding industrial areas.
AFRICASSO
Picasso was inspired by Africa. Dyalvane was inspired by Picasso. The two meet in a collection of ceramic bowls and vases which reflect a deep, emotive fusion of visual art and clay.
