about our
ceramics studio

We are a contemporary African ceramics art studio, specialising in hand-crafted, collectable, one-of-a-kind pieces created by award-winning ceramicists Andile Dyalvane and Zizipho Poswa.

‘IMISO’ is derived from the Xhosa word ‘NGOMSO’ meaning ‘Tomorrow’ or contextually ‘the future’. Hence ‘IMISO’ embodies the meaning ‘A better tomorrow for future generations. This meaning can be found in the stories we tell through our work.
